Stuart Hall School is a member of the Episcopal Church Schools in the Diocese of Virginia. Our chapel services reflect our tradition and are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to persons of all faiths.
At Hunter McGuire Lower School, students gather at the start of each week for "Mondays at McGuire," a time to reflect on the coming week in a spiritually open environment appropriate for young students.
At Cochran Middle and Gray Upper School, chapel is held Tuesday and Thursday and features speakers from the Stuart Hall community and the community at large.
We see life as a union of body, mind, heart, and spirit. We therefore go to chapel not to worship in any one way, but:
To strengthen our sense of community
To stimulate our minds
To reflect on life's meaning and purpose
To remind ourselves that ethical and moral issues are fundamental to education
To enhance our understanding of our own spiritual journey and those of others
It is our goal that everyone who joins in this experience of chapel will leave with inspiration, enlightenment, and eagerness to be of service in the world.
